Antonio Brown set to feature for Oakland Raiders on Monday night
Antonio Brown is put to suit up for the Oakland Raiders on Monday night when he was hung over by a danger of suspension to finish.
The wide receiver has been through a preseason which included a foot accident brought on by a cryotherapy machine along with a threat to give up the NFL completely because of a row over a helmet that he wanted to wear that the league deemed dangerous.
Those troubles reached a mind earlier this past week, with reports asserting Raiders and Brown .
The row blew up after Mayock issued Brown with a letter confirming substantial penalties for lost practice sessions while solving his helmet problems Brown subsequently posted the letter Instagram together with the words”if your own team would like to despise” printed across it.
Throughout the incident, Brown has been alleged to have stated to Mayock”I’ll hit you in the face” and then punted a nearby ball away, adding”fine me for this”.
Reports emerged later on Thursday the Raiders would suspend Brown .
However, amid additional claims that Brown had filed an”mental apology” for his role from the Mayock row, Raiders head coach Jon Gruden confirmed on Friday that the 31-year-old would be accessible for Oakland’s season opener.
Gruden said:”I do not actually have a prepared statement but I’ll just say Antonio is straight now. We are ready to proceed and really enthusiastic about that.
“He has had a great deal of time to think about things and we’re pleased to have him back. I understand Raider Nation is excited about this too.”
When asked if he would play Monday night, Gruden added:”That is the plan, that is the plan, yes.”
